Relationship Coaching vs Relationship Therapy

I get confused with a relationship therapist a LOT, but there are some key distinctions between coaching and therapy.

Sometimes, coaches use therapeutic techniques and therapists use coaching techniques, so there's inevitably some overlap.

When you feel like you need a little bit of relationship support, ask yourself:

💎Is this partnership functioning well, but we know there's something bigger, better and deeper to uncover?

OR

💎Is my partnership NOT functioning, and we just want to get to a place where things work?

In general, therapy takes us from dysfunctional to functional, while coaching takes us from functional to extraordinary.

Coaching involves visioning your ideals, solutions, actions, and getting comfortable with discomfort.

Sometimes there are underlying mental health issues that contribute to how we are in relationships, and that's a perfect opportunity to see a therapist.

Now, of course, there is room for BOTH:

✅ If you're seeing a therapist, coaching will help.

✅ If you're seeing a coach, therapy will help.

We need a team of practitioners to keep us thriving--who's in your corner?
