Visioning the Revolution

“The real power, as you and I well know, is collective. I can’t afford to be afraid of you, nor you of me. If it takes head-on collisions, let’s do it: this polite timidity is killing us.” Cherríe L. Moraga

The Revolution is not comfortable, even among the Revolutionaries.

Even within the Revolutionary.

In order to survive, everything must rewritten--our relationships with power, the ways we contribute to an oppressive system, how we see each other and ourselves.

The discipline of Constant Revision is required of us.
Of the Vision.
Of How we are.
Of What is Being Asked of Us.
Of How we allow Creation to move through Us.

⚡We can cull our Inner Circle and still be on the same side as those who are not in it.
⚡We can put the conversation on Pause.
⚡We can fail in some ways while finding success in others.
⚡We can dismantle while building something new.
⚡We can allow ourselves to be figuring it out while still working to move forward.

The most dangerous thing we can do is keep the Oppressive, White Dominant mindset of Good OR Bad, Either/Or, All OR Nothing.

Our Warrior Natures can be trained for this resilience: Just like at the gym, work until you’re tired, then take the necessary recovery. Instead of wasting your energy with auxiliary expenditures (scrolling through the news, getting stuck in shame or guilt or apathy, Facebook fighting), find what works for you and do that as much as you can.

I’m learning that in order to keep the momentum, I can only keep what and who is helpful & supportive.

That Connecting & Listening is my assignment right now.

That this work is requiring me to STAY instead of BOLT.

That making mistakes and feeling stupid is happening constantly in every way, in every area of my life. But I’m starting to feel less stupid.

Sometimes.

⚡To breaking down and building up⚡
